A few weeks ago, at my brother's 30th birthday, I was talking with my friend about how your tastes sometimes change.
She mentioned how growing up she never liked tomatoes and when she tried them a few years ago, she loved them! Now she grows them.
How did this conversation come up?
I feel like, as a vegetarian, people assume I like ALL vegetables. So as we were talking, I said I don't like Brussels sprouts. Both her and her husband were shocked & they went on about how much they love them.
So... I decided to give them another try.
I bought some frozen Brussels sprouts, mixed them with olive oil and salt. I spread them out in a pan and cooked them for about 25 minutes at 425º.
And I actually liked them!
I did put too much salt on... note for next time.
*Did you know it is actually Brussels sprouts, not brussel sprouts? I didn't.
